Chevelle Dixon is the Founder and Managing Director of Pan-African Solutions. Her prior experience has been in both the private and public sectors, focusing on the socio-economic development and empowerment of disadvantaged people in urban neighborhoods. Chevelle is passionate about economic development in developing countries, particularly in Africa, and firmly believes in the power of entrepreneurship to uplift marginalized people and communities.
As someone who has supported entrepreneurial development from the bottom-up and the top-down, Chevelle has been in countries such as Kenya and India facilitating direct entrepreneurial development support. In Zambia, she was nominated by the Zambian Ministry of Youth and Sports to join the National Steering Committee and provide technical assistance for National Youth Week. Not only does she have entrepreneurial development and government technical assistance experience, but she also has lecturing experience as she was a Trainer of Trainers for the Commonwealth Youth Program's International Programme in Youth Entrepreneurship Training (IPYET), and co-authored Module 3.3 Business Plan Development.
Chevelle is a native-New Yorker, hailing from Brooklyn. Chevelle graduated from NYU Wagner School of Public Service with a Masters of Urban Planning and International Development, and from Harvard University with a joint A.B. in Economics and African Studies. She is an avid traveler, having traveled to five continents, and to 15 countries within Africa doing community economic development.
